Projects from the mind of Brad Herman
Just me, building the apps I wish already existed.
See what I've builtThe apps
Each one began as something I wanted for myself.
Orate
Read-it-later, for your ears. Select any text on your Mac and it reads aloud in a natural voice — entirely on-device.
orate.toRuckus
Track your rucks — routes, distance, and calories under load. Built for the rucking community.
ruckusapp.fitProteinification
Reviews of protein-boosted food. Every product is scored the same way, so you can tell in ten seconds whether it is worth buying.
proteinification.comIn the workshop
Everything else on the bench right now, at every stage from a live site to a first working version.
Phishtories
A permanent home for the stories Phish fans tell about shows. Every story sits next to the song, venue, and date it happened to.
phishtories.comTownPass
Locals-only discounts for mountain towns, gathered in one place so nobody has to ask at the counter. One site per town.
BuildingRowdy
A desktop workspace for databases that runs on your own machine. Browse, query and edit Postgres, and see every edit before it runs.
BuildingMelok
Turns a photo into a coloring page on the iPad. A model draws the line art and the app works out the regions, so the paint bucket fills them cleanly.
BuildingYakoso
Onboarding for new engineers. A buddy walks them through a welcome pack, and when three hires trip on the same step it reads as one problem to fix.
Buildingbterm
A terminal built for working with coding agents. Each pane owns its shell in a separate process, so the shells survive a restart with their screens intact.
BuildingLevl
Referral programs that pay customers for the customers they bring in. A brand sets the reward levels, and every cent lands in an auditable ledger.
BuildingBehind the apps
Gnome Bobon is me — Brad Herman — building apps from a home in South Lake Tahoe, California. It's a Delaware LLC on paper, but the work happens here: by hand, one thing at a time.
Not a startup, not an agency, not a team. Just a home for the things I think are worth building. More at bherms.com.
